New Welcome to Wynwood Mural Completed!

Color Dreamers Welcome to Wynwood Mural

We had the absolute honor of working with an amazing brand Vivelo Bikes on our latest mural located near Wynwood Walls in Miami, Florida. The painting process took us about 3 weeks to complete. We used various art styles such of graffiti, posterization and classical chinoiserie to create the artwork. The client really wanted a vintage car with a bit of street art that represented the graffiti scene in Wynwood.

After a few concept design revisions we settled on a good color scheme that fit the brand and included some welcoming text for visitors to the area. We also added some palm trees in a chinoiserie style that really defines the Florida landscape of beautiful beaches and sun. Once we received final approval on the design we got to work. We gathered our spray cans and brushes and got ready to tackle this massive wall. During the process we met many tourists and visitors who we’re thrilled by our work and took many selfies in front of the mural as the work progressed.

We were so happy to work with a great brand that provides custom bikes as works of art for the community. We truly cherish our new friendships that has developed from painting this new mural and we hope that you visit when you visit Wynwood Walls in Miami.

Trompe-l’oeil Mural at The Embassy House in Palm Coast Florida

Check out the photos of our trompe-l’oeil mural of cherubs on a vaulted ceiling at The Embassy House. We painted this vaulted ceiling a couple of years ago while the home was being renovated by the owners.

The owners asked for a classical style mural of cherubs (baby angels) flying among the clouds as they hold flowers in their hands. The mural took us a total of 6 weeks to complete on a 30 foot high scaffold that covered the entire space. The ocean front home also known as The Embassy House is located in beautiful Palm Coast, Florida. Upon arriving at the estate we were greeted by a large fountain at the center of a private lake on the property. The Embassy House is 14,000 square feet with 7 bedrooms and once housed president Ronald Reagan during his stay in Florida. The entire foyer measures 20′ x 30′ and is bordered by a corridor that hovers over the first floor. Above the foyer is a 30′ high vaulted ceiling with a stunning glass chandelier. The home has beautiful designed details such as a stain glass double doors, antique velvet furnishings and rococo mirrors.

We began this mural by first mixing our own custom colors for the cherubs and clouds. As we worked the nights away the artwork began to come to life. The cherubs are holding large flowers in their hands as they hover over the foyer. The trompe-l-oeil mural defies perception as it gives the illusion of the an open glass ceiling exposing the sky. For our finishing details we added a few white doves carrying ribbons with the names of the family members and a glowing emblem. These thoughtful details gave the mural a more personal touch. The Embassy House has been one of our favorite murals painted thus far. The artwork really stands out in the space and creates an awe inspiring experience for all those who visit.

As artists we feel very fortunate to be able to create these works for clients and really challenge our skills. This cherub mural has an amazing feel about it, the baby angels greet visitors with a peaceful and gentle welcome. We were happy to collaborate with the owner on all details and really create an amazing experience in the home.

New Video of Mural for the YMCA released!

YMCA + HOYT Mural video in New Castle, PA

We are excited to bring to you the latest from our artistic mural journeys in New Castle,  Pennsylvania for the YMCA and HOYT Arts and Education Center. We created an artwork that would blend with the colors of the surrounding buildings and provide vibrancy and modernism to the area. The total process took us one month to complete. We had a wonderful time interacting with the local community who complimented us on the mural and we were able to catch footage of an entourage of nearby skaters while painting the mural.

At the end of the journey we were given an amazing tour of the Hoyt Arts and Education Center that was once owned by a brother and sister who were the descendants of Lewis Stiles Hoyt. We toured the amazing porcelain art collection and turned the thick pages of a muralists handbook to pattern making. The director took us through a day in the life of the Hoyt Family. We were most amazed by the industrial and mechanical antiques that facilitated processes such as clothes washing and linen ironing. The mixture of woodwork and modern architectural materials such as glass and metal stand in contrast to the traditional green clay roof creating a uniform balance that blends well with its surrounding nature. The center stands as a beacon of New Castle transcending it into the future. You can read more about the center and their amazing community efforts here.

A big thank you to Benjamin Moore Paint, Packard Paint and Hoyt Arts and Education Center for sponsoring us in the process.
